1st Annual “Jack-o-lantern Smackdown” presented by Cub Scout Pack 302

November 1st, 2014 from 3 pm – 6 pm

Charles R. Drew Charter School Elementary Academy Parking Lot

The Halloween season is a blast. But when it’s over, what are you going to do with that glorious centerpiece of your porch decoration, the Jack-o-lantern?  You put so much care into carving and creating your masterpiece and now it’s just sitting there … wondering if you’re going to just let it rot into a sticky, soupy mess or unceremoniously toss it into the trash to be taken next Tuesday.

Well now you have a chance to give your family’s jack-o-lantern the send-off it deserves at the 1st Annual Pack 302 “Jack-o-lantern Smackdown!”  Let us and our crack team of professional pumpkin ploppers hurl your toothy-grinned gourd from the top of one of Atlanta Fire & Rescue Department’s finest ladder trucks to a gloriously explosive end.  That’s right! SMASHED! DESTROYED!! OBLITERATED!!!

Join Boy Scout Pack 302 as we partner with Zone 6 Fire Station and the East Lake Community Learning Gardens to start a new Fall tradition of smashing pumpkins and making the refuse of our seasonal traditions eco-friendly in our “Jack-o-lantern Smackdown.”  The proceeds of the event will assist our pack with programming and group outings!

Prices are $5 per pumpkin or $10 per family with multiple pumpkins.
